Keep cool

May 4th, 2010

This unusual cool weather is slowing the growing for our plants in the ground (broccoli, cabbage, kale, etc.) . Now they are talking about night temps in the low 30′s! I am heading out to the field, it is  time to cover our baby’s up for the next few nights with a warm blanket. Good news, the peppers and tomatoes however are keeping cozy in the green houses, keep growing guys.

Another great day.

Growing lettuce (thought it to be Bibb & Romaine), but the stalks are growing up instead of round & out. Any idea why?

I grew two heads of Bibb last year and they were beautiful.
I have a very small garden (actually turned my flower beds into a garden). :)
